The new normal

Like all retail businesses, I have been considering how I will be able to do things once I am allowed to start re-opening. I am doing my best to follow the Government guidelines whilst considering the safety of my customers, and myself. If I become ill the cabin closes as I am a one woman band.

From Monday 15th June the following will apply:

My opening hours will be Monday to Saturday, 9.30am till 4.30pm. Please do not visit the cabin if you are showing symptoms of Covid.

In order to keep the two metre distance it will be a strict one customer/household at a time in the cabin.

If someone is in the cabin when you arrive, you will need to wait outside. If this is the case please leave a space of two metres for people leaving the cabin. Please be patient and kind as I know patchworkers are.

There is hand sanitiser just inside the door for your use.

I will wear a face mask while you are in the cabin this is to protect you from my coughs and sneezes.

I am still processing orders and am able to ship daily Monday to Saturday, Saturday is a 9am post only as the post office closes at 1pm. I will try to post when the cabin closes at 4.30 however if I get delayed (the post office I use closes at 5pm) this will be done the next morning at 9am before I open the cabin.

Orders are taking longer to arrive due to the extra preasure Royal Mail are under. I would ask you to be patient and allow longer than usual for your items to arrive. I obtain proof of postage for everything I send.

Local folk I will continue to deliever to you, call, email or message me on social media. If I don’t answer the phone please leave a message and I will get back to you.

I would like to say a heart felt thank-you to everyone who has been placing orders online. This has been a very difficult time for everyone and I genuinely appreciate every purchase being made.

I am slowly returning to classes and will be in contact with those booked prior to the pandemic close down.  The shop has changed so that the teaching area is seperate and a screen between students is in place.

Finally, thank you. I have been truly overwelmed by your continued support of Patchwork Dreamer during this very difficult time. I believe sewing and it’s community has got many of us through this pandemic. While things have undoubtedly changed the community of sewers is stitched together. Take care of you and yours, if there is anything I can help with please contact me.
